How To Get a Copy of Vehicle Registration in Ontario
Vehicle registration certificates, also known as vehicle permits, serve as official proof that your vehicle is currently registered in Ontario. If you have lost, damaged, or need a duplicate copy of your vehicle permit, the Province of Ontario provides several convenient options to obtain a replacement through ServiceOntario.
Online Duplicate Certificate Services
Currently, Ontario does not offer online services for obtaining duplicate vehicle permits. Vehicle permit replacements must be processed in person at ServiceOntario centres throughout the province.

ServiceOntario Centres
Ontario operates through a network of ServiceOntario centres that provide comprehensive vehicle registration services on behalf of the government. These centres are authorized to issue duplicate vehicle permits and handle all motor vehicle transactions.
To find a ServiceOntario centre near you, visit the official ServiceOntario Locations finder on the Government of Ontario website. ServiceOntario centres are located throughout the province and many locations offer appointment booking services to reduce wait times.
